The B&B Podere la Sterza on the hills of Chianni (PISA) offers in autumn 2009 Tuscan organic cuisine lessons to learn to eat and cook ethically, and having fun.
Tuscan organic cuisine is simply a modern way to define our traditional cuisine, of the old days, when everything was produced following natural methods, with no forcing, and only fresh and seasonal produces were cooked.
One of the aims of the weekly courses of organic cuisine is to arise the desire, in those who still do not have it, to consume consciously and cook ethically. The courses start in autumn and are organised by the Bed & Breakfast housed in an old and restored country house of the farm La Sterza, at Chianni, on the hills not far from Pisa, Lucca, Volterra and San Gimignano, jewels of Tuscan history and culture.
An intense week full of food and wine carried out, however, in a relaxed manner, during which there will be theoryl lessons as well as more practical ones that include tasting sessions at local farms of wine, cheese and salami.
Also in the program, theme dinners prepared by Carlotta and Gigi, the house hosts, who greatly support local typical cuisine and the use of seasonal produces. The dinners will be offered to all the guests and course participants and served in the hall of the villa of Podere La Sterza.
